 Eating out w/ no whining
« Thread Started on Aug 6, 2007, 3:47pm »

Here's my secret to get my kids to be quiet when we go out to eat. This only works if you know before hand you are going out to eat. ( the day before)

Make them a big breakfast, feed them earlier than usual.

skip lunch. if they mention lunch or getting hungry,
give them cookies & milk.

around 3 / 4 pm give them a lollipop.

When you get to the restaunt they will be hungry.
Not starving, but hungry.

They will sit and eat. ;D

LOL, That sounds like a good idea! :) better than the 'trip to the truck' mine get offered! :)

Now if I could just get a plan for making the hardheaded one to quit wanting hamburgers at the mexican place and seafood at the chicken joint... ;)

Sometimes I let mine sit at their own table at the restaurant, but only if they behave well. As soon as they get crazy they have to come sit with the grownups who won't let them play, or describe every last detail of a cartoon they saw, or tell stupid jokes. They feel all grown up and I hardly ever have to make them come sit with us.
